My style of drawing involves linearity and only shading strategically in order to help define certain differentiating forms. The way I shade areas involves drawing the shape of the shadow and then scribbling in the crayon. I incorporate line quality sometimes, when seemingly appropriate, of using thin lines facing against harsh light and thick lines which are away from light. Consistently, I have been drawing in such a way since my early 20's.
